Ashes to Ashes, by Steve Earle

New (3/10/15). With all due respect to the great Steve Earle, who covered this song with words by David Bowie... Steve Earle's biblical imagery and his focus on God and eternality, especially in this song, strike us as (Noahide-made) inspired sacred music.

God is God, by Steve Earle

Thanks to Steve Earle for this wonderful song, a frank, concise compilation of the hard-won spiritual conclusions of a person of insight. We present it here as a beautiful work of humble spirituality - which is the only true spirituality - from an understanding of Noahide. Copyright 2011 by Steve Earle and Exile on Jones Street Music. 4-minutes long.

Still Rewarding

Some people believe that everything will be fine if they can just "get God on their side." J.E. Saunders, the Baptist pastor who became a leading teacher and interpreter of the First Covenant, shows that, as George Washington once put it, the real glory and challenge of life is not to somehow get God on one's side but that we, ourselves, should get ourselves on God's side.

The Seven Root Noahide Laws are all negative "thou shalt not" principles (thou shall not steal, nor murder, etc.). J.E. Saunders shows that a person can't be called righteous unless he or she does the opposite of what the Law forbids. So, instead of merely refraining from stealing, for instance, one must give charity; instead of merely refraining from murdering one's neighbors, one must act, when necessary, to preserve the lives of others, etc.
